Is Sam Allardyce a victim of entrapment or greed? He was unlucky to get caught out, but surely with the money he was on he didn’t need the extra money. He can never talk about top jobs again, he had his one shot and squandered it.

Can Gareth Southgate do a decent job? I think so, his only real test will be the friendly with Spain, and the 2 upcoming World Cup qualifiers should be pretty straight forward. But he still fails to inspire with me the confidence to lead England into Russia 2018.

He’ll never get a fair chance, but Louis Van Gaal could be an excellent choice of England manager. He knows how to win big games, and his style of football involves retaining possession, something England are terrible at. If nothing else his press conferences would never be dull.

Marcus Rashford has to be in the upcoming England squad! Dropped by Allardyce in his only game, Rashford is playing regularly and scoring.

Are Man City unstoppable? The draw with Celtic, which was a fantastic watch, showed that with their fullbacks playing so far forward they can become undone defensively. I think Spurs can take advantage of this, and at least get a draw with City on Sunday

How long before the Wenger out crowd comes out of the woodwork? Arsenal are in a good run of form, and their destruction of Chelsea was sublime. But that can easily come to an end at the hands of Burnley.

When did Stoke become so weak? They’ve always been a physical side but they’ve been steamrolled by teams this season. If the Manchester United side that destroyed Leicester in the first half last week shows up on Sunday, Stoke will struggle again.

Paul Pogba had his best game for Manchester United so far. He was easily man of the match in the game with Leicester. But in order to justify his transfer fee he needs to do this week in week out, a repeat of this will need to be seen against Stoke.

What will Chelsea do when John Terry retires? He’s been absent for 2 league games and Chelsea have been a shell of themselves at the back. There has to be a plan for life after Terry, and I don’t think the rumoured bid for Michael Keane is that answer.

Crystal Palace are in a real good run of form at the moment, they’ve won their last 3, and could be fifth by Friday night. I don’t think they’ll sustain this form, but if they do it’ll lead to calls for Alan Pardew to get the England job.

Liverpool seem intent to score as many as possible, which is great for the spectator. But surely Jurgen Klopp will need to shore up his defence. There the only side in top 6 not to keep a clean sheet yet.

I really think Tottenham will make the top 4. The have a great manager, a strong squad, and are currently sitting second. A decent result against Man City are they will be 1 point off the top spot

Sunderland are doomed. How long before Sam Allardyce is back in the dugout there?
